How to refer
No referral is required for a patient to attend privately. A referral is needed for certain funding pathways:
- Medicare: prepare a GP Chronic Condition Management plan and refer for chiropractic (up to 5 shared allied-health visits per year).
- DVA: a D904 referral (valid up to 12 sessions or 12 months).
- Workers compensation: as the nominated treating doctor, provide a certificate of capacity; we submit an Allied Health Recovery Request to the insurer.
