Symptoms

How it can feel

Neck problems show up in different ways. You might notice:

Stiffness or reduced movement when turning your head
A dull ache at the base of the skull or across the shoulders
Tension-type headaches that start in the neck
Pain that flares after long periods at a screen or desk
Muscle tightness or 'knots' through the neck and upper back
Pain, pins and needles or referral into the shoulder or arm

Our Approach

How we assess it

We start with a thorough history and examination — checking how your neck and upper back move, where the pain is coming from, and screening for anything that needs further investigation. Dr Elvin will explain what's going on and whether chiropractic care is right for you.

Neck Pain — FAQ

Can chiropractic help neck pain and headaches?

Often, yes. Many headaches are cervicogenic — they originate from the joints and muscles of the neck. By helping to restore movement and ease tension in the upper neck, chiropractic care may reduce both neck pain and the headaches that come with it. Dr Elvin will assess whether your headaches are neck-related at your first visit.

Is neck treatment gentle?

Dr Elvin tailors the technique to you, and takes a thorough history and examination before any treatment. If you'd prefer, we offer gentle, low-force and instrument-assisted options rather than traditional manual adjustment.

I sit at a desk all day — can you help 'tech neck'?

Yes. Neck pain from prolonged screen and desk work is one of the most common problems we see. Alongside hands-on treatment, we'll give you posture advice and simple exercises to reduce strain between visits.

How many visits will I need?

Most acute neck pain settles within a few visits over two to four weeks. Longstanding or recurring pain may take longer. We don't sell prepaid packages.
