What you need in your plan

• Funding for chiropractic, usually under Improved Daily Living (Capacity Building) as a therapeutic support.
• The support should be 'reasonable and necessary' and connected to your disability-related goals — for example improving mobility, managing pain, or building independence in daily activities.
• Many participants provide a letter of recommendation from their GP or allied-health professional; we can also supply a supporting letter explaining how treatment will help.

Self-managed vs plan-managed

• Self-managed — you pay for your appointment and claim it back through the NDIS portal yourself. You have full choice of provider.
• Plan-managed — your plan manager pays our invoices on your behalf; you don't pay out of pocket and there's no extra cost for the plan manager (the NDIS funds it).

Good to know

You don't need to reapply to the NDIS to add chiropractic — you can raise it at a plan review or plan meeting. If chiropractic is already funded in your plan, you can usually start straight away without waiting for further approval.
