The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) — your jaw joint — sits just in front of the ear and works closely with the muscles of the jaw, head and neck. Jaw pain, clicking and tightness can be uncomfortable and distracting. At our Mount Hutton clinic, Dr Elvin assesses the jaw and the neck's role in your symptoms and treats where appropriate.

Jaw / TMJ Pain — FAQ
Can a chiropractor help jaw / TMJ pain?
Chiropractic care may help TMJ-related symptoms by addressing the muscles of the jaw and the upper neck, which often work together. Dr Elvin will assess whether this is suitable for you and coordinate with your dentist where dental or bite factors are involved.
Should I see a dentist too?
Sometimes, yes. Dental factors such as the bite, grinding or tooth problems can contribute to TMJ symptoms. If that's likely in your case, Dr Elvin will suggest you also see your dentist.
Is treatment gentle?
Yes. Jaw and upper-neck work is done gently, and your comfort guides the treatment. Assessment always comes first.
